The Church through its funeral rites commends the dead to God’s merciful love and pleads for the forgiveness of their sins… [and] brings hope and consolation to the living.
General Introduction to the Order of Christian Funerals, nos. 6-7
The Staff at Holy Angels will assist you in every way in planning the funeral for your loved one. Our Funeral Guidelines will help you choose appropriate readings and music, and a meeting with a member of the staff will help you complete the liturgy planning process. You may also choose to have visitation at the church prior to the Mass. Holy Angels also offers the option of having a funeral luncheon at the church (schedule permitting) as a way of expressing our support in your time of sorrow.
Please contact our office as soon as possible after the death of your loved one so that we may help you during your time of sorrow. We recommend before you schedule anything with a funeral home, you first to contact our office at 440-708-0000
This booklet has been prepared by the parish community of Holy Angels to assist your family in planning the Mass of Christian Burial for your loved one. We hope that by choosing your own readings, music, and ritual movements, you and your family might share more fully in the liturgy, and express your care and love for the deceased. Please look over the readings and choices provided and call the Parish Office to set a time with a parish staff member to complete the liturgy planning process. Be assured of the prayers and concern of our parish during this time of sorrow.
