Just as the Son of man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
The Angel Outreach ministry provides for people from Holy Angels and its surrounding community who are in need. A family or individual might require financial assistance for food, clothing, transportation, medicine, utilities, etc.

Holy Angels is committed to helping our neighbors in need through the Chagrin Falls Park Community Center. Our “We Can” food collection takes place every Donut Sunday. Please help by placing a cash or food contribution in the bins set up in the Gathering Area. A mentoring program is also in need of volunteers throughout the school year.

This is a multi-faceted event which incorporates a “back to school” drive for Chagrin Falls Park Community Center and St. Thomas Aquinas School with collections of items for various other charities as need arises. A Christmas tree is decorated with tags, each describing an item for an organization, agency or charity sponsoring people in need. Parishioners are asked to take one or several tags, purchase the items and return them on the designated Sunday. The gifts are then sorted and distributed accordingly.
Parishioners are asked to donate travel size toiletries from hotel stays while travelling. These personal care items are then distributed to those in need at homeless shelters in the inner city. There is a collection container in the Coat Room off the Gathering Area.

We currently provide the boys residing at Safely Home gifts at Christmas time via our Christmas Giving Tree.
Every Thanksgiving, a food drive is held to help over 30 families during the Thanksgiving season make a memorable holiday. We collect food, including turkeys, sweet potatoes, stuffing and cranberries, along with cash or checks for gift cards and other grocery items to help families in need enjoy a Thanksgiving meal and food for the holiday season.

Every year at Christmas, Holy Angels sponsors an “Adopt A Family” program where more than 30 families in need from Holy Angels, Chagrin Falls Park Community Center and St. Thomas Aquinas School are “adopted” by parishioners for the holiday. Sponsoring parishioners are given a family to support and a Christmas “wish list” from the family. Parishioners then may purchase items from the list and return them to the Parish Office by the date specified.

During Advent, our Christmas trees in the Gathering Area are decorated with tags, each describing a gift for a person in need or an organization sponsoring people in need. Parishioners are asked to take one, or several tags, purchase the item and return the Christmas gifts by the designated Sunday. The gifts are then sorted and distributed to the various charities.
Through presentations before and after Masses, this team creates awareness and encourages parishioners to contribute to Catholic Charities. They provide materials about the many causes which this vital organization supports.
