Project Red Cord is a monthly street outreach. Team members setup tables along the sidewalk in an area of Cleveland to offer various support, personal hygiene and food to people being trafficked, homeless or impoverished. They work with the Renee Jones Empowerment Center, a non-profit group that helps women who are ready to leave the trafficking lifestyle. Here are ways that you can be of support: Donate individually bagged items like cookies, chips, sweet or salty snacks, candy, bottled water, brown bags, baggies ~ Write simple ‘thinking of you’ notes that will be included in the bagged lunches ~ Pray for the success of the outreach efforts. The next Project Red Cord events are: Oct. 17, Nov. 21 & Dec. 19. Donated items – food or notes – should be dropped-off in the Kitchenette off the Gathering Area at Holy Angels the day before by 1:00 pm. Our sponsorship will include financial support, volunteering to work on the house and getting acquainted with the receiving family. We plan on blessing the house on August 19 and begin working soon after. Dates for volunteering will be forthcoming. For more information contact Mary Ann and Dave Brockett at (734) 546-0094.
