Mary Lou & I first celebrated Mass at Holy Angels in July 1997 in the mission church on Chillicothe Rd. We also joined the Empty Nesters ministry that summer. We became registered members of this parish, guided by Fr. Dan, in 2003. I am a Eucharistic Minister serving our Christian community, member of the HA choir & past chairman of the Empty Nester Ministry. As a child I attended St Patrick School, Kent and St Mary HS, Akron. I attended Ohio State Univ., served in the US Army 1959 – 1962, and graduated from Kent State Univ. in 1965. With a degree in Journalism I worked in that field for six years as publications editor, speech writer, writer of sales materials & photography. My true talents turned out to be in the construction industry and I joined our family company in 1971. We were Heavy & Highway General Contractors building highways & bridges, large concrete structures & utility sites & buildings. In 1990 I joined a Beachwood real estate developer as Great Lakes Regional Operations Manager responsible for the operation & maintenance of 27 shopping centers spread across eight states that provide six million square feet of leased property. I retired at age 66 at the close of 2005. As a member of Holy Angels Pastoral Council I will listen to the needs & concerns of our parishioners & offer my talents in engineering & property management for the good of Holy Angels Parish.
